चांद दिखने के हिसाब से ही ईद मनाने की तारीख तय की जाती है। लेकिन ईद मनाने के साथ-साथ इसके इतिहास से भी वाकिफ होना जरूरी है। जिससे इस पर्व का महत्व और बढ़ जाता है।

ईद-उल-फितर मुस्लिम समुदाय के लिए एक बहुत ही पवित्र त्योहार है। इसे मीठी ईद के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। जिस दिन ईद मनाई जाएगी वह पूरी तरह चांद दिखने पर निर्भर करता है। तो आइए जानते हैं इस दिन से जुड़ी कुछ खास बातें।



कैसे और कब हुई थी ईद मनाने की शुरुआत
ईद की शुरुआत मदीना शहर से हुई, जब पैगंबर मुहम्मद मक्का से मदीना आए। मोहम्मद साहब ने कुरान में ईद के लिए दो पवित्र दिन निर्धारित किए थे। इसी वजह से साल में दो बार ईद मनाने की परंपरा है। एक है ईद-उल-फितर (मीठी ईद) और दूसरी है ईद-उल-अजहा (बकरीद)।


इस्लामिक मान्यता के अनुसार जंग-ए-बद्र के बाद ईद-उल-फितर की शुरुआत हुई। जिसमें पैगंबर मुहम्मद के नेतृत्व में मुसलमान विजयी हुए थे। लोगों ने जीत की खुशी में ईद मनाई। ईद-उल-फितर का त्योहार इस्लाम में गरीबों को भी दिया जाता है ताकि अमीर से लेकर गरीब तक सभी इसे खुशी-खुशी मना सकें। होली की तरह ईद के दिन लोग एक-दूसरे को गले लगाते हैं और आपसी प्यार बढ़ाते हैं।

ईद का महत्व
ईद-उल-फितर के दिन लोग भगवान का शुक्रिया अदा करते हैं। सुबह लोग नमाज अदा करते हैं और फिर ईद का त्योहार शुरू हो जाता है। लोग नए कपड़े पहनते हैं, एक-दूसरे को गले लगाते हैं, बधाई के साथ उपहारों का आदान-प्रदान करते हैं। घरों में तरह-तरह के व्यंजन बनाए जाते हैं, खासकर मीठी सेंवई. जो ईद-उल-फितर का पारंपरिक व्यंजन है। इसका स्वाद आपको हर घर में मिल जाएगा। इस दिन लोग एक और खास परंपरा का पालन करते हैं, वह है जकात यानी दान। जिसमें उनकी कमाई का एक हिस्सा दान कर दिया जाता है। लोग अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार दान करते हैं जिससे इस पर्व का महत्व और बढ़ जाता है।
