Which is Chapter 2 3rd verse from the Bhagavad Gita?

The 3rd verse of Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita is as follows:

"क्लैब्यं मा स्म गमः पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते।
क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परंतप॥"

Transliteration: "Klaibyaṁ mā sma gamaḥ pārtha naitattvayyupapadyate,
kṣudraṁ hṛdayadaurbalyaṁ tyaktvottiṣṭha paraṁtapa."

Translation: "O Partha (Arjuna), it does not befit you to yield to this unmanliness. Give up such petty weakness of heart and arise, O chastiser of the enemy."

 



In this verse, Lord Krishna is encouraging Arjuna to overcome his emotional distress and weakness, reminding him of his duty as a warrior.

 


In Hindi:

"Āśhcharya-vat paśhyati kaśhchid enam
Āśhcharya-vadvadati tathaiva chānyaḥ
Āśhcharya-vach chainam anyaḥ śhrinoti

Translation in English:

"Some look upon the soul as amazing, some describe it as amazing, and some hear of it as amazing, while others, even on hearing, cannot understand it at all."

Meaning in Hindi:

"कुछ लोग इस आत्मा को अद्वितीय मानते हैं, कुछ इसे अद्वितीय कहते हैं और कुछ इसे अद्वितीय सुनते हैं, जबकि कुछ लोग, इसे सुनकर भी, इसे समझ नहीं पाते हैं।"
