What is the meaning of “Assalamu Alaikum”?


"Assalamu Alaikum" is an Arabic phrase commonly used as a greeting among Muslims. This means "peace be upon you" in English. It is a way of wishing peace, blessings and happiness to the recipient. This phrase is often followed by "wa alaikum assalam", which means "and peace also to you", in response to greetings.

"Vedāvināśhinaṁ nityaṁ ya enam ajam avyayam

"हे पार्थ, जो जानता है कि आत्मा अविनाशी, नित्य, अजन्मा और अविनाशी है, वह किसी को मारता है या किसी को मारवाता है, ऐसा कैसे हो सकता है?"

कार्तिक मास की अमावस्या को छठ पर्व षष्ठी मनाने के कारण इसे छठ कहा जाता है।

दिवाली के छह दिन बाद कार्तिक शुक्ल को छठ पर्व षष्ठी का यह पर्व मनाया जाता है। यह चार दिवसीय उत्सव है और स्वच्छता का विशेष ध्यान रखा जाता है।
