श्री चेंगलम्मा परमेश्वरी मंदिर आंध्र प्रदेश के नेल्लोर जिले में कलंगी नदी के तट पर स्थित है।

शुक्रवार और रविवार को बड़ी संख्या में भक्त आते हैं और चेंगलम्मा की पूजा करते हैं। इस मंदिर का दरवाजा कभी बंद नहीं होता।

चेंगलम्मा परमेश्वरी मंदिर भारत के आंध्र प्रदेश के कलंगी नदी के तट पर सुल्लुरपेटा शहर में स्थित है।

चेंगलम्मा मंदिर सुल्लुरपेटा:-
10वीं शताब्दी के दौरान, कलंगी नदी में तैरते समय कुछ गाय लेने वालों ने देवी की मूर्ति देखी, और उन्होंने तुरंत ग्रामीणों को सूचित किया। ग्रामीण उस स्थान पर पहुंचे लेकिन वे मूर्ति को उसके स्थान से नहीं हिला सके। अगले दिन उन्हें आश्चर्य हुआ कि मूर्ति सीधी खड़ी थी और उसका मुख दक्षिण की ओर था। फिर पूजा करने के बाद, वे मूर्ति को उठा सकते थे और वे इसे मंदिर के वर्तमान स्थान पर ले जाकर स्थापित कर देते थे। पहले देवी को तेनकली कहा जाता था, फिर यह चेंगाली और अंत में वर्तमान नाम चेंगलम्मा हो गई। उन्होंने मंदिर के चारों ओर के गांव का विकास किया और इसे चेंगाली पेटा नाम दिया गया। ब्रिटिश शासन के दौरान, नाम बदलकर सुल्लुरपेटा कर दिया गया।



हालांकि, बहुत पुराने लोग एक और कहानी बताते हैं। उनके अनुसार, ब्रह्मोत्सव के समय, जो 7 सात वर्षों में एक बार होता है, एक बकरी को एक छोर से बांधकर मंदिर के चारों ओर ले जाया जाएगा, जिसे "सल्लु" के नाम से जाना जाता है और इसलिए इस स्थान को सुल्लुरपेटा कहा जाता है। यह मंदिर बलिजा जाति के लोगों द्वारा बनाया गया था और वे देवी की दैनिक पूजा करते हैं, उसके बाद अन्य अनुष्ठान करते हैं।कलंगी नदी के तट पर स्थित श्री चेंगलम्मा परमेश्वरी मंदिर, आंध्र प्रदेश के नेल्लोर जिले में सुल्लुरपेटा के दक्षिणी सिरे पर स्थित है। यह नेल्लोर, तिरुपति और चेन्नई जैसे प्रमुख शहरों से अच्छी तरह जुड़ा हुआ है। मंदिर परिसर में 400 साल पुराना चेंगलम्मा वृक्ष भक्तों के लिए एक विस्मयकारी तमाशा है।


चेंगलम्मा मंदिर सुल्लुरपेटा से जुड़ी दिलचस्प कहानी:-
लगभग 400 साल पहले, जब ग्रामीण मंदिर के लिए दरवाजा बनाने की कोशिश कर रहे थे, देवी ने उनके सपने में दर्शन दिए और उन्हें बताया कि वह हर समय अपने भक्तों को आशीर्वाद देने के लिए वहां हैं और इसलिए उन्हें मंदिर में कोई दरवाजा नहीं बनाना चाहिए। उनके निर्देश पर ग्रामीणों ने 24 घंटे मंदिर को खुला रखा। देवी की मूर्ति समुद्र के सामने है। देवी चेंगलम्मा को बहुत शक्तिशाली माना जाता है।
