"Nainaṁ chhindanti śhastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
Na chainaṁ kledayantyāpo na śhoṣhayati mārutaḥ"

Translation in English:

"The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon, nor can it be burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind."

"यह आत्मा किसी भी शस्त्र से कटाई नहीं होती, आग से जलाई नहीं जाती, पानी से भीगाई नहीं जाती और हवा से सूखाई नहीं जाती।"

"Jātasya hi dhruvo mṛityur dhruvaṁ janma mṛitasya cha
Tasmād aparihārye ’rthe na tvaṁ śhochitum-arhasi"

Translation in English:

"One who has taken birth is sure to die, and after death, one is sure to be born again. Therefore, in an inevitable situation, you should not lament, O Arjuna."

Meaning in Hindi:

"जो जन्म लेता है, वह निश्चित रूप से मरना ही है और मरने के बाद निश्चित रूप से पुनर्जन्म लेना ही है। इसलिए, इस अटल प्रकृति के कारण तुम्हें शोक करने का कोई कारण नहीं है, हे अर्जुन!"

"Na jāyate mriyate vā kadāchin
Nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
Ajo nityaḥ śhāśhvato ’yaṁ purāṇo
Na hanyate hanyamāne śharīre"

"The soul is never born and never dies; nor does it ever become, having once existed, it will never cease to be. The soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval. It is not slain when the body is slain."

"आत्मा कभी न जन्मता है और न मरता है; न वह कभी होता है और न कभी नहीं होता है। वह अजन्मा, नित्य, शाश्वत, पुराणा है। शरीर की हत्या होने पर भी वह नष्ट नहीं होता।"

"Āśhcharya-vat paśhyati kaśhchid enam
Āśhcharya-vadvadati tathaiva chānyaḥ
Āśhcharya-vach chainam anyaḥ śhrinoti
Shrutvāpyenaṁ veda na chaiva kaśhchit"

"Some look upon the soul as amazing, some describe it as amazing, and some hear of it as amazing, while others, even on hearing, cannot understand it at all."

"कुछ लोग इस आत्मा को अद्वितीय मानते हैं, कुछ इसे अद्वितीय कहते हैं और कुछ इसे अद्वितीय सुनते हैं, जबकि कुछ लोग, इसे सुनकर भी, इसे समझ नहीं पाते हैं।"

"Anta-vanta ime dehā nityasyoktāḥ śharīriṇaḥ
Anāśhino ’prameyasya tasmād yudhyasva Bhārata"
